On the morning of March 17, the VP will host a breakfast at the Naval Observatory in honor of Saint Patrick's Day. He did this last year and will continue this tradition. Again this year we will invite prominent Irish Americans from different sectors of society including the arts, literature, labor, journalism and elected office. We will limit this event to 50 attendees.

On the evening of March 17, the White house will host its Saint Patrick's Day Reception, where they invite nationally known Irish Americans. The VP gets to invite 20 guests (or 10 couples) to this event.

Please let me know if you have anyone you would like added to the VP's list for consideration. Lists need to be finalized by Friday so please get back to me at your earliest convenience and no later than noon tomorrow Thursday, February 2.
