Hunter Biden said a bid for Delaware governor is likely next for his brother Beau — calling him “one of the best public servants” — adding that his brother’s health scare last year won’t be an issue.

“[Beau’s] doing great, he’s doing absolutely great,” Hunter Biden said Tuesday of his elder brother on MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports.” “It was very scary, but he’s back to work and he’s been back to work and he’s doing great.”

“He is going to finish up his term as attorney general and then see where we go from there, and most likely it’s going to be a race for governor of Delaware,” the younger son of Vice President Joe Biden said.

Beau Biden announced last week that he would not seek another term as Delaware attorney general as he plans to run for governor in 2016. The elder Biden underwent treatment at a Texas cancer center last summer.

“I think he’s going to do it and I think that’s his plans,” Hunter Biden said of his brother’s bid.

“He decided that he didn’t think it was fair to the state of Delaware to run for attorney general simply for the platform to run for governor,” Hunter Biden added.
