Dear Hunter,

Yesterday I spoke with Anderson Cooper, had an op-ed published by the New York Daily News, and was interviewed by CNN International addressing the need for gun reform.


Anderson and I spoke about common sense measures Congress can take that respect the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Americans, but address this uniquely American affliction. We talked about the need to eliminate the civilian sale of military-style assault weapons, expand background checks, study gun violence, and close the gun show loophole.

Despite vast bipartisan support for many of these common sense measures, Republican leadership is afraid to disobey the Tea Party and NRA. How many innocent people will die before Congress takes action? Too many Americans are dead already. You can watch my interview below.

We demand action. Let’s not wait for another mass shooting. Let’s bring common sense gun violence reform to a vote.
