Hello Hunter - I've been a member out at Avenel for the past 13 years, and while I don't believe we have met, I have seen you and your Dad out there several times.
I certainly apologize for the "cold" email, but Jay Dufty and I have been involved with The First Tee of Montgomery County for several years, and we would love to find a way to invite your step-mom to speak at our annual women's luncheon and outing on June 29, 2015 at Manor Country Club.
This is our marquee event and has been a wonderful marketing and fundraising mechanism for the organization and attracted female executives, golfers and philanthropists from the greater Washington DC area. The Board of Directors and I are proud of the list of alumni speakers: Cathy Whitworth, winningest pro on the PGA & LPGA Tours; Brandi Chastain, Olympic Gold Medalist; Christine Brennan, nationally syndicated columnist with USA Today; and Suzy Whaley, PGA Professional and now an officer of the PGA Tour.
Could I ask you to let me know the best way to make such a request?

Our mission:
The First Tee, Montgomery County's mission is to use golf as a platform to impart life skills than can be applied on and off the course. The focus of the organization is on underserved children, who would not otherwise be exposed to golf and its opportunities, The First Tee emphasizes Respect, Perseverance, Honesty, Integrity, Courtesy, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, Confidence and Judgment and how to apply it in school, with their parents and their friends. During the thirteen years of this chapter's existence has registered more than 5,000 participants in its program. One of the many exciting things about this chapter is that over 45% of its participants are girls. This is approximately 20 percent higher than the national average of girls enrolled in golf instruction. In recognition of The First Tee's girl golfers, the Board is working diligently to build awareness, increase excitement and recruit more female golfers to the game and to the organization
