It is well toremind Senator McCain and others like him that it was not President Obama whosigned an agreement to get all U.S. troops out of Iraq by 2011. It was theBush/Cheney administration. It was not President Obama who disbanded the Iraqiarmy in 2003. It was the Bush/Cheney administration. And the dirty littlesecret that the right wing, including the Senator, tries to hide is the fact thatthe same disbanded group is now leading ISIS. Furthermore, there are anestimated 300 million guns in our country. Every Tom, Dick and Harry has atleast one with no regard as to their mental status. And every effort to limittheir access is blocked by the same people criticizing the President, so whatdo you get? An estimated 30 million people with mental illness armed to theteeth acting out their demons or imagined grievances by committing mass murder.What we need in the U.S. is more common sense leadership as provided byPresident Obama who tries to stop gun sales to people who should not have them.And we need to continue to press for legislation that would stop these salesand at the same time provide more resources for people in dire need of mentalhealth help.
